If I have erred in my outlook on life, I have erred on the side of optimism. I have always been “Little Miss Optimistic.” There was always some way to fix it, it wasn’t quite as bad as it seemed, or it will be better tomorrow. I am sometimes accused of refusing to face reality. My answer is, “I know the reality, but I choose to look at it through the filter of what I know about God and His power and wisdom, and what I know about His love and care for me. My theme song has always been, “THE SUN WILL COME OUT TOMORROW.” Maybe that’s not spiritual enough for you. Well, the sweet singer of Israel said the same thing in Psalm 30:5. “…Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” No matter how stark and unlovely and even frightening reality is, when you look at it from that stance, hope brightens the most profound darkness. MORNING HAS DAWNED! So, leave the darkness behind and come into the sunlight with me.
